2 lb of organic turmeric root (or whatever kind you choose) – peeled and sliced into 1/8 inch pieces. Dig in the ground with a small hand tiller and remove the pieces of turmeric root.
2-3 apples – cored and sliced into 1/4 inch pieces. Place in a blender with the turmeric root, and blend until chunky. If you like the consistency of a smoothie or juice, this will be a very mildly sweet juice. For a more earthy flavor, blend to a smaller size – approximately ¼ inch pieces.
1 tsp of cinnamon (optional).
1 tsp of raw honey (optional).
Water or filtered water [this is for making a smoothie].
Decide if you want to use the juice straight away, or to put in the refrigerator for later use. If you wish to use the juice straight away, take the ingredients from the fridge and blend up until it reaches your desired consistency. Otherwise, take the ingredients out of the refrigerator and blend up until it reaches your desired consistency.
If you want to use the juice as a condiment, or for garnish or decoration, add the turmeric root pieces. For example: You may want to cut up the apple and place on top of the turmeric pieces during cooking time. If you wish to add this as a condiment, gently fold in a tablespoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of raw honey.
Add more water or filtered water if necessary until desired consistency is reached.
Add your garnish (if any) and serve.

If this is what you are intending to do, care must be taken not to burn the apple by adding it too soon during cooking time. Simply follow all instructions carefully as outlined above.
